What is a ballpark cost for the event?
Frankenbike is put on for free, we do ask for donations to cover our costs though.
Frankenbike is free, some people to give some donations for water and so on.
Regardless of bike type, what tires are people running?
I run small block 8, 700×35. Most just go with whatever they already have on their cross bike. An ideal tire may be something like a file tread or something slick, but has some grip on the edge.
That being said, I’ve run small block 8s, with 45/50psi(rear/front) and haven’t had a problem.
I’ve raced road throughout the summer (cat4) and I’ve done a few mountain and cross races throughtout the years but nothing that compares to this. Does anyone have any words of advice on what I should bring? I don’t have a cross bike anymore so I’ll be riding my mountain. thanks
